Earth
Earth. The planet of humanity's origin. All humans come from here, even if they have to trace their family tree back centuries.
The planet used to be gorgeous; in it's prime. But now, the planet has been entirely occupied, filled to the brim with huge rise apartments, government, etc. Including the UPN headquarters. Most of the planet has recovered from the 21st century global warming crisis, and the wildlife has been restored, but the population is still brimming, bursting the planet at it's seams.

Climate - Earth has incredibly varied climates. The north/south is cold. The middle area of the planet, near the equator, is hot, and the rest varies between warm and cold, with four seasons. You should know this!
Culture - Nobody can pinpoint the culture of Earth- Earth has Earth culture. Most countries pre-Age of Exploration still stand, each with their own culture. After culture mixing began to spread in full, most countries closed borders heavily and stressed their culture, but still, things have muddled since. Many other planets base their cultures from different countries on Earth.
Government - Each country on Earth is run by their own sub-government, but all are underneath the UPN. Many other planets report back to their mother countries on Earth.
Military - Earth holds major military bases against the Khaian fight- or, more particularly, since the UPN bases here, strategic plans are planned out here.
Economy - Earth has largely switched into the system-ized system of using credit chits instead of dollars, euros, ect.. Also, the galaxy-wide economy is based here.

Durness
Durness is the home of the AI Project. Here, the Illoca Science Facility is based and run, and has been for a century. Much of Durness is equipped with great technology and is well protected from the Khaian, as it holds many of the UPNs top secret projects and work. As such, it is both a hard planet to get to, and a hard planet to leave.

Planet type - UPN settled
Climate - Durness is a COOOOLD planet! The entirity of it is cold, even the center, where the equator would be. It is even colder near the poles, and the entire planet is dry, covered either in a light layer or snow, or simply dry dirt. It hardly rains here, and the sun is always hidden by a wave of clouds. The only real flora here are trees resembling pines, and the fauna is sparse and hard to find.
Culture - Durness really has no culture, as almost 90% of the population are scientists of the UPN. What little there is is muddled and thrown together.
Government - The planet is run by the UPN with no sub-government.
Military - The UPN supplies military to Durness. There are not only ground forces, but also air forces and an entire fleet surrounding the planet.
Economy - The planet has little to no real economy, as there are no colonies.
History - Durness was colonized in 2256, settled with military bases and a few small colonies at first. It wasn't until 2377 that the first research labs were set up, labs beginning to be used in 2381. Originally, top secret projects were only performed on Earth, but in 2457, the strategic placing of the planet and it's system, in addition to the fact that Earth simply had no more space left on it for construction ignited the first emergances of top-secret projects on the planet. Later, the AI Project was initiated on the planet.
